Previous training in a relevant field in biomedical research is required.  Applicants must have a Ph.D., M.D. or comparable degree at the time of appointment.  Postdoctoral fellows will be expected to apply for independent funding (e.g., NIH NRSA) following an initial period of support.

The CEHS research laboratories are located in newly constructed space and are accompanied by extensive core facilities.  The University of Montana is located in Missoula, a cosmopolitan Rocky Mountain community of about 80,000. The city has been singled out in national publications for its high quality of life.  Abundant recreational opportunities in surrounding state and national forests and nearby Glacier National Park complement a thriving intellectual atmosphere.
