POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP POSITIONS

Postdoctoral training positions funded by the University of Montana’s NIH-funded Center for Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) in Environmental Health Sciences and individual NIH grants are available as part of our training program at CEHS in various fields of investigation including immunotoxicology, respiratory diseases, neurotoxicology and environmental epidemiology. 

 Areas of emphasis include:

Previous training in a relevant field in biomedical research is required.  Applicants must have a Ph.D., M.D. or comparable degree at the time of appointment.  Postdoctoral fellows will be expected to apply for independent funding (e.g., NIH NRSA) following an initial period of support. 

The CEHS research laboratories are located in newly constructed space and are accompanied by extensive core facilities.  The University of Montana is located in Missoula, a cosmopolitan Rocky Mountain community of about 80,000. The city has been singled out in national publications for its high quality of life.  Abundant recreational opportunities in surrounding state and national forests and nearby Glacier National Park complement a thriving intellectual atmosphere.
